PAWSITIVE CHANGE provides education and information about the humane and ethical treatment of pets, to help connect shelters with foster and permanent homes, and lobby for animal rights.  It is our belief that animals will no longer needlessly suffer or die from neglect and abuse as long as there are responsible pet ownership and stricter laws protecting them.

All pets have the potential of being loving and loyal family members with responsible, caring, and humane treatment. No animal deserves to suffer or die from neglect and abuse simply due to ignorance and lax laws. There is an insurmountable number of 4million homeless dogs and cats euthanized in U.S. shelters each year. Add to that number all the pets abandoned by their owners, abused and killed in dog fighting rings, and mistreated and neglected in puppy mills. If they cannot fight for themselves then who will?

Every week useful articles, personal blogs, educational links will be posted as well as information and photos of available adoptions.  Even before the age of technology, the most effective way of marketing was to “pass it on”. There is never too much information that can be shared.

There is a new day upon us where we can all make a difference.

We can all make a pawsitive change.

“What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.” ~ Albert Pike

Gypsy is a 2yr old spayed female pit bull/shar pei mix available for adoption in 2009. She was saved from being put to sleep and was being fostered in Chicago. Her foster mom fell too in love with her and finally adopted her! Gypsy now lives with her forever mom in Colorado.
